The Adventure Center Holiday consists of four full days of riding in Alaska. Riders will spend five nights in the luxuriious Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska. The Hotel Alyeska is a Chateau style property located on Alaska's scenic Seward Highway.
The Adventure Center Holiday includes:
- Five nights at the luxurious Aleyeska Resort
- All breakfasts and dinners
- Airport transfers between Anchorage and Girdwood. Your motorcycle awaits you at the lodge!
- Use of a low mileage, current model BMW motorcycle
- Four full days of riding under the expert guidance of an Ayres Adventures Tour Leader
Some of the Alaskan destinations that you'll visit by motorcycle include:
- Talkeetna, Alaska - the small community located at the base of Mt. McKinley - the highest mountain in North America. Talkeetna was the model for Cicely, Alaska - the quirky little town featured in the TV show Northern Exposure. Optional flight-seeing excursions may be arranged to nearby Mt. McKinley.
- The Seward Highway and the town of Seward. National Geographic Magazine has designated the Seward Highway one of the top ten drives in North America.
- The Palmer Highway to the Matanuska Glacier, where you'll have the opportunity to walk on the glacier. The Glacier is 27 miles long and 4 miles wide and is the largest glacier accessible by motorcycle in the United States. Thanks to a "weather hole" at the glacier, the weather is unusually clear and sunny.
- The "Photographer's Paradise" of Whittier, located at the Passage Canal on the Western edge of Prince William Sound. Access to the town is only possible via the 2.5 mile long Anton Anderson Tunnel - the longest combined vehicle/railroad tunnel in North America.
- The small Alaskan community of Lake Louise, located on the largest lake in Alaska that it's possible to reach by motorcycle.
- The old mining town of Hope, located on the northern end of the Kenai Peninsula, on the shore of the Turnagain Arm of the Cook Inlet.
Family members and non-riding cmpanion are welcome! They can enjoy all that the world class Alyeska Resort has to offer during the day while riders tour on the motorcycle. After each day of spectacular riding, riders return to share dinner at the lodge. |
