Join us on this magnificent journey through “Awesome Andalucía - The Most Spanish Part of Spain”. Andalucía is the home of the Flamenco, fighting bulls, olive tree plantations stretching to the horizon, and the famous “Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos” - route of the white villages. The region is also famous for its spectacular scenery, tapas and red wine.

You’ll marvel at the incredible motorcycling roads and beautiful landscapes at every turn. Riding features countless curves through stunning scenery and very little traffic. This is truly motorcycling nirvana.

The region is rich in cultural attractions and has a very interesting history. In addition to the Muslim (or “Moorish”) influence, cultural background includes influence by the earlier Iberians, Carthaginians, Greeks, Roman Empire, Vandals, and Visigoths. Features of Awesome Andalucía include:

  • A visit to the British overseas territory of Gibraltar and entrance to St. Michael’s Cave - the most visited of the more than 150 caves found inside the Rock of Gibraltar.
  • A tour of The Alhambra, a palace and fortress constructed by the Moorish rulers during the mid14th century
  • A tour of the Mezquita-Catedral in Córdoba
  • A visit to the Plaza de Toros in Ronda - one of the oldest operational bullrings in Spain

Premium accommodations (4 and 5-Star facilities) are offered throughout this tour, as well as á la carte dining in fine restaurants, making this an especially appealing Adventure for those who enjoy traveling well. A comfortable support vehicle is available for non-riding companions as well as a trailer for transporting luggage and additional purchases.

Departure from Seville
Alphonso Hotel Day 1: Arrival Seville. We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to our base hotel. In the late afternoon you will get your motorcycle and the kick-off briefing will make you familiar with the rest of the group and the upcoming tour. An exclusive dinner will round up your arrival day.
Ronda Day 2: Seville – Ronda (~260 km). Let’s get started! Riding south we approach one of the most beautiful regions of Andalucía: the mountains around Ronda are famous for their roads! The city of Ronda itself is witness of Andalucía’s past: more than 2000 years of history – and we are right in the middle of it!
Gibraltar Day 3: Restday Ronda (~220 km). Make sure to do some sightseeing today - but don’t miss the ride in the afternoon! Neverending cork oak forests, beautiful white villages, spectacular mountain roads and the chance to visit Gibraltar will keep you very busy on this “restday”! The evening is on your own – there are dozens of nice restaurants to enjoy a typical dinner!
Ronda Area Day 4: Ronda – Granada (~270 km). Ready to rumble? Up the mountains, down to the mediterranean coast and then approaching the snow covered Sierra Nevada with Granada sitting at its foot. All this on roads that were made for motorcycles and through scenery that leaves you speechless!
AAlhambra Day 5: Restday Granada (~160 km). The included guided visit of the Alhambra (the most famous islamic building in Europe) is a must in the morning. The afternoon is left for your convenience - like strolling around in the city that was the last fortress of the Moors. And the roads are calling, too: a 4 hours ride down to the coast and up through a spectacular nature reserve will keep your riding shills in a good shape! The evening is on your own – get some tapas and red wine and enjoy the oriental flair of this beautiful city...
White Village Day 6: Granada – Córdoba (~250 km). Neverending olive tree plantations are a special feature of Andalucía – today you will experience this on our ride to the next famous city! The small roads will lead us through charming white villages, inviting us for coffee stops and tapas. With a view over Córdoba and a glass of red wine we finish another great ride...
Cordoba

Day 7: Restday Córdoba. The “Mezquita” of Córdoba belongs to the most famous buildings in Europe: a cathedral built into a mosque! But also the rest of the old town is well worth spending the day there: get lost in the small alleyways and follow the traces of the moorish past of this city! The evening is on your own again.

Andalusia Ride

Day 8: Córdoba – Zafra (~280 km). Again we explore the backcountry and it’s entertaining roads! The black mountains north of Seville are our playground today and for our destination Zafra we leave the province of Andalucía and enter Extremadura! The dinner tonight will be at the center square of the city in a typical restaurant.

Long Shot Day 9: Zafra – Seville (~220 km). Sweepers, twisties and great scenery! We might see the famous fighting bulls and we will taste the world famous Jabugo ham. This last riding day combines one more time all the attractions of Andalucía and we arrive in Seville with the best impressions of this most typical part of Spain – and hunger for more! An exclusive dinner at the river Guadalquivir rounds up this experience of a lifetime.
Seville Day 10: Departure Seville. We will transfer you to the airport and look forward to seeing you again soon on another Ayres Adventure!
The route is entirely paved but includes some challenging sections, particularly in the mountains and while passing through small towns. The tour is best done by experienced riders.
