Join Grass Roots BMW Owner Herb Anderson on this specially crafted, 8-day Alpine Adventure through the German, Austrian, Italian and Swiss Alps. The itinerary has been developed especially for this unique Ayres Adventures Club Tour by two of our native Alpine Tour Leaders who live in Germany and Austria. You'll be traveling in Claus and Axel's "back yard" and will experience the best the Alps have to offer.

Oktoberfest ends October 7, 2012 - two days after the last riding day of this Adventure. Riders arriving a few days early or who delay their departure will have the opportunity to participate in this very unique Bavarian tradition. Oktoberfest is the world's largest fair with 5 million attendees - Germany's most famous event.

Riders choosing to arrive a little early or who stay after the tour will also have the opportunity to tour the BMW Museum and the BMW automobile factory in Munich. Ayres Adventures can help you plan these visits.

The tour price includes all major expenses except airfare, fuel for the motorcycle, lunches, alcoholic beverages, and a few tolls.

Day 1: Arrival in Munich (Lenggries): our tour leaders will meet you at the airport of Munich and transfer you to the base hotel in the village of Lenggries (~60 min drive), which is located at the foot of the Alps. During motorcycle handover in the afternoon and Kick off dinner in the evening you will meet your fellow riders.
	Day 2: Lenggries - Strassen, Austria: we hit the mountains right away! Whether across the Großglockner (Austria's highest passroad) or along the alpine foothills - this first day's ride is a great "warmup" for what is waiting for us on the coming days!
	Day 3: Strassen - Bolzano, Italy: a ride through the "heart of the Alps", the Dolomites! Countless passroads through spectacular and colourful scenery and alpine villages - we are in rider's paradise!
	Day 4: Restday in Bolzano: enjoy a walk through the old town, visit the "Iceman - museum" - or jump on your bike and go for another loop in the Dolomites!
	Day 5: Bolzano - Lake Como: Paso di Stelvio, Italy's highest passroad with its almost 90 hairpin turns, is one of the options today! But also the other alternatives have one in common: mountains + roads = big fun! Our destination today is Lake Como, one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy.
	Day 6: Lake Como - Warth, Austria: 4 countries in one day: Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria! A ride from the southern to the northern end of the Alps...
	Day 7: Warth - Lenggries, Germany: we will pass by the famous King Ludwig Castle Neuschwanstein and make our way back to our base hotel in Lenggries.
	Day 8: Departure: our tour leaders will transfer you to the airport or a hotel in Munich, if you would like to add a day or two to have a closer look at the Oktoberfest and BMW Museum.

The route is entirely paved but includes some challenging sections, particularly in the mountains and while passing through small towns. The tour is best done by riders who are experienced with narrow, twisty mountain roads.
