This 17-day Escape to Machu Picchu Adventure provides riders the unique opportunity to visit a fascinating variety of South America's most exciting destinations.  The itinerary includes Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Peru with Machu Picchu as our final destination.

Adventurers will begin this journey in Cuzco, Peru - our embarkation point for Machu Picchu - and will end in the tropical jungle environment at Foz do Iguaçu.

This trip begins with an excursion to Machu Picchu - the Lost City of the Incas - South America's best known and most popular archaeological site. We'll continue to Puno and Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake where riders will visit the Floating Islands of the Uros people - an experience unlike any other in the world.  Inhabitants live on islands fabricated entirely from local reeds. The largest of the floating islands supports buildings, including a school and post office.

We will continue on to Arequipa, a beautiful city, surrounded by spectacular mountains, the most famous of which is the volcano El Misti. WE'll spend a night in the beach resort of Arica, ride through the heart of the Atacama Desert, and visit the Chilean mountain resort of San Pedro de Atacama.

At Iguassu Falls, riders will spend two nights at the luxurious Tropical das Cataratas ¨C the only hotel in Brazil located inside a national park. The trip includes an escorted ride through the jungle by jeep and a thrilling powerboat trip up the Iguaçu River to the base of the falls. This incredible waterfalls, located on the border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, is one of South America's most popular tourist attractions.  Larger than either Niagara or Africa's Victoria Falls, Iguaçu was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1986.
