The Iron Butt Association, in conjunction with Ayres Adventures, offers tours designed to appeal to the very special interests of IBA members. Although these "extreme" tours have been crafted in conjunction with the IBA they are open to all riders who are interested in riding longer daily distances with fewer stops and fewer "rest days" than are incorporated into our classic Premium Motorcycle Tours. Check out our Club Tours to see currenty offered Iron Butt trips.
The Iron Butt Association is dedicated to safe, long-distance endurance motorcycle riding. The organization is based in the United States but has more than 34,000 members worldwide. One of the organization's more popular slogans is "The World is Our Playground". The entry-level requirement for membership in the IBA is a documented 1,000 mile ride in 24 hours or less. For additonal information about the Iron Butt Association, visit the IBA web site at www.ironbutt.com.
Our classic Premium Motorcycle Tours are characterized by modest daily mileage, periodic rest days, premium level meals and accommodations, and more personalized service than what is typically offered by most tour companies.
These special IBA trips, on the other hand, are special Club Tours designed to appeal to riders who prefer higher mileage and fewer stops and who enjoy traveling with like-minded, long-distance advocates. The trips are typically hosted by Mike Kneebone (president of the Iron Butt Association) and/or Ron Ayres (IBA Member #78).

These special trips include some special IBA recognition event, such as the opportunity to earn an Iron Butt
Saddlesore Certificate for completing an optional 1,000-mile/day ride in some interesting global motorcycling destination, or to ride a unusually high number of Alpine passes in a day.
