Our 12-day Los Andes Misteriosos Adventure is designed for riders who want to experience the “back country” in the Andes Mountains of Argentina and Chile. The tour is available only to riders who are experienced with off-road travel. Riders who do not have extensive experience riding off-road should have recently taken off-road training from a company such as RawHyde Adventures.
This adventure begins and ends in Santiago, Chile. Comfortable accommodations and delicious meals are included and will be typical and in keeping with the areas traveled. A support vehicle will be available to transport luggage.
Highlights of this special Andes Adventure include:
- A ride across the stunning Caracolas and the “Paso Internacional Los Libertadores” between Chile and Argentina - the highest paved pass in the Andes.
- An overnight stay in the small village of Tupungato, Argentina - near the mountain (one of the highest in the Andes) of the same name. We may also catch a glimpse of Cerro Aconcagua - the highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere (22,837 feet altitude).
- A free day in the charming little village of Barreal, with the opportunity to enjoy off road riding in the stunning Cordillera de Ansilta Mountains of Argentina’s San Juan Province.
- An evening in La Rioja, located at the foot of the Velasco Sierras.
- A challenging ride into the Sierra de Capillitas range with an overnight stay at a very remote lodge deep in the Andes.
- A ride across the jaw-dropping Paso de Agua Negra from Argentina into Chile - reaching an altitude of 15,650 feet.
- An overnight stay in the charming Chilean valley of Pisco Elqui.
- An overnight stay and final dinner celebration in Viña del Mar - one of the most popular seaside resorts in Chile.
This is truly a unique motorcycling adventure for riders with experience riding off-road and an itch to ride the backroads of the Andes Mountains.

The route consists of a wide variety of road conditions - unpaved as well as paved. Off-road experience is required.
