Once again, Iceland gave us perfection! Perfect weather, stunning scenery, friendly people and the greatest possible riding! Today we made our way to the coast and spent most of the day riding along breathtaking coastal roads with rocky outcrops, sandy beaches and 3300 Ft peaks off to our side. We took a short detour inland and rode some really beautiful gravel switchbacks. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at a small, quaint harbour filled with small, colourful fishing boats floating steady on the still waters of the harbour.
Just before getting to the hotel several of us took a quick ride out to see one of the many glaciers that extends from great ice shield of Vatnajokull which covers about 7% of Iceland! Once again, another breathtaking view!
Tonight, we will enjoy a wonderful dinner right down in the harbour of Hofn where we will be spending the night.
