The first stop of the day was at the ’Three Sisters’ lookout point just outside Leura. At an average height of about 3,000 feet, these three beautiful rock formations are very distinct with a beautiful backdrop of the endless forest. Next, coffee in the beautiful Blue Mountains Botanical Gardens where we strolled around and enjoyed the perfectly manicured gardens, plants, and trees. A great stop!
We decided to head straight to Sydney to avoid the traffic. Getting in to the city was really quick and easy. We arranged an early check in at the hotel where everyone changed their riding gear for casual clothes and took off in search of lunch at one of the nearby restaurants. During the afternoon, while the tour leaders were sorting out the bikes, the riders walked around the Royal Botanical Gardens to get pictures of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. A short riding day, but an absolutely wonderful day nonetheless.
Our final dinner was at a really nice restaurant overlooking Sydney Cove Marina. We were joined by three guests that had ridden with us on previous tours and all lived in Sydney. A great meal, fine wine, wonderful company and great views made for a spectacular and fun final dinner together. What a great night!
