After a great breakfast we jumped on to the bikes on our second day of our Australia and Tasmania tour and went in search of more Koala Bears.

This time we were not so lucky but we were rewarded with stunning views of the ocean and the Otway Lighthouse. Heading back on to the Great Ocean Road, we made our way to see the 12 Apostles along the shore of the port Campbell National Park. The morning had started off very cloudy and overcast but by the time we got there, the sun was out, the clouds had cleared and we got to see the stunning limestone formations in beautiful morning light, what a spectacular sight! Rolling blue waves, stunning white sandy beaches and an absolutely breathtaking coastline made this a stunning stop.

Leaving the Great Ocean Road we made our way through farmlands as we headed to the town of Colac for lunch. An easy ride to lunch and a quick jaunt on the highway had us back in Melbourne in time to catch the ferry, the Spirit of Tasmania.

We boarded the ferry with several hundred other motorcycles, all heading home to Tasmania after spending the weekend at the Moto GP racing. Despite the number of bikes and vehicles, the boarding went really quickly and now we are all settled in our nice cabins after a lamb roast dinner and ready to be rocked to sleep by the gentle ocean as the ship sails over the Bass Strait to Tasmania.

Good Night,

John
