Today’s first stop was at a small privately owned motorcycle museum. The owner restores vintage motorcycles and has a very nice collection of bikes going right back to the 1920’s. As several of the riders on this tour own vintage bikes, this stop was a big hit and thoroughly enjoyed by us all.
We took a short 27km detour for a visit to the Freycinet National Park to see Wineglass Bay. In the parking lot we were visited by one of the locals that had a great time checking out the bikes, checking our the riders and enjoying a gently chest rub from each of the riders. This little Wallaby was incredibly friendly, very photogenic and had a great time just hanging out with us. I am sure that he/she was more interested in potential food but it was fun taking pics with the cute little animal.
It was an easy ride from lunch in the to the picturesque city of Hobart where we will spend two nights at a really nice ‘Art Hotel’ right in the marina. Tomorrow, everyone has made plans for their free day in Hobart.
