Melbourne is a great city that offers a lot to do and to see! All of the riders arrived a day early to take in the sights and sounds of this wonderful city!
Janis and I spent the day getting the bikes ready, handing them over to the riders and preparing for the tour.
We hosted the tour kick-off meeting in a small library within the hotel before taking everyone out for a great dinner at a wonderful seafood restaurant in the Victoria Harbour with views of the Etihad Stadium, Melbourne City and the marina. A great way to end a busy day and a wonderful way to start the tour with everyone.
We found and bought our tour mascot, a cuddly little koala bear which we have named ‘Koolio the Koala’. Koolio will ride with a different person in the group throughout the tour as we make our way from Melbourne to Tasmania and then up to Sydney over the next 15 days.
