Getting ready for the adventure ahead!
Everyone has arrived safely in Helsinki, Finland for the start of our 36 day, four country North Pole Adventure! Myself and several of the riders arrived a couple of days early to have a look around the wonderful city of Helsinki.
The bikes are clean, gassed up and prepared for what will be a 5,300 mile/ 9,000 km round trip right up to Nordkaap and back. The support vehicle is packed and will follow the group throughout their adventure.
This afternoon we handed over the bikes to their riders and hosted a short tour briefing before heading out for a wonderful dinner at a nearby local restaurant. Tomorrow is a big day, so it’s early to bed for all.
It has taken two years from thinking of this tour to planning and now running the tour. I am extremely grateful and proud of the wonderful staff that work so hard for Ayres Adventures.
