We were excited to leave Lake Manyara, only because we were going to the Serengeti.
The magical Serengeti, home to the largest Wildebeest and Zebra migrations. One only realises how big an expanse the Serengeti is once you drive into it. On our way, we visited the Oldepai gorge and learnt about the archaeological finds and then the Masai village.
Of course there was some dancing and singing and a whole new culture opened up to the group.
Once in the Serengeti, our afternoons started of well with Elephant, Buffalo and a leopard sighting. Well on our way to see the Big 5.
The lodge in the Serengeti is an oasis after the dusty day and we opted for an early start tomorrow hoping to find the black rhino and of course Simba… Swahili for Lion.
Entering Serengeti national park

Just passed the entrance and we saw our first of the Big 5.
