On our way to the capital of Russia we made a stop at Sergiev Posad, founded in the 14th century by the Saint Sergy Radonezhsky. The most important sight of the town is the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, which is enlisted in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. A very nice stop for coffee and break. Riding along wide highways we got straight to the heart of Moscow and stayed close to the red-brick Kremlin.

Day 7: Uglich - Sergiev Posad - Moscow

Riding in to Moscow was our first taste of the cities daily traffic. Fortunately for the group we were in the hotel before the start of rush hour traffic so getting in to the heart of Moscow, whilst a little time consuming was certainly not a bad experience at all.
