Day 9
Divava lodge and spa. What a perfect place to have a rest day and to pamper the body and soul.
Waking up to this view… what a privilege
Bikes are waiting patiently on the rest day
We call it the internet cafe… wifi hotspot in reception
Some of us opted for the deep tissue massages for those sore shoulders, some opted for the relaxing full body massage and some decided to do some tiger fishing.
Bryan got lucky, although he still maintains that it was all skill. He caught a small tiger fish and after checking out the teeth, it was returned to the river. Not many times where you can fish with hippos in the background.
We finished the rest day with a perfect dinner, watching the Okavango river and listening to the Popa falls in the background.
Day 10
Today we started out with some sand practise, even with the R1200 RT getting through the sand.
We had a long riding day ahead, 630 km, but the group stuck together and we had lunch in Tsumeb after 530km.
The bathrooms at Ngepi lodge
We are looking forward to the Etosha Game reserve tomorrow. We still need to see Lion and Leopard to complete our Big 5.
