Ayres Adventures is the official tour company for the Iron Butt Association (IBA). The Iron Butt Association is dedicated to safe, long-distance motorcycle riding. The organization is based in the United States but has more than 40,000 members worldwide. One of the organizations more popular slogans is, “The World is Our Playground”.

Ayres Adventures has partnered with the IBA to offers tours designed to appeal to the very special interests of its members. The IBA trips are special versions of our Club Class tours, designed to appeal to riders who prefer higher mileage and fewer stops, and who enjoy traveling with like-minded, long-distance advocates. To-date we’ve conducted them in Africa, South America, the Alps and Scandinavia.

IBA trips are typically hosted by Ron Ayres (IBA Member #78) and Iron Butt Association president, Mike Kneebone. They always include a special IBA recognition event, such as the opportunity to earn an Iron Butt SaddleSore certificate for completing an optional 1,000-mile day in an interesting global motorcycling location. Although these tours (sometimes designated as “extreme”) are crafted specifically for IBA members, they are open to all riders interested in longer daily distances with fewer stops and fewer free days.
