I have always found the Irish to be fun loving friendly people and so was the taxi driver that took me from the airport to our tour start hotel in the heart of Dublin overlooking the River Liffey. It was a stunning day and we were now in the friendly, lively and sunny city of Dublin!
Being the start day of the tour, Claus and I were arranging the bikes and airport transfers while the other riders spent the day exploring the cities attractions and enjoying a tour of the ‘black gold’ (Guinness) factory.
With the bikes handed over and the tour briefing done, we walked along the riverside for our first group dinner together at a nearby local restaurant where we all enjoyed a divine dinner. Definitely one of those ‘can I lick my plate..’ kind of dinners!
Full, tired and ready for a good nights sleep but excited to get riding in Ireland!
