Today started off with a quick visit to the chemist for one of the riders who had some minor health discomfort. Fortunately, it was something that we could get sorted out with the right medication. This is one of the many joys of traveling with an experienced touring company – the guides are there to help the riders under all circumstances.
Another day of great riding had us following the ever interesting, scenic and twisty Wild Atlantic Way with a very special stop planned along the way.
Our planned stop at Downpatrick Head proved to be even more amazing and beautiful than we had hoped and imagined. The sun was out, it was warm and there was no wind which allowed for us to enjoy a wonderful walk around the cliffs and blowhole – of course, good weather and no wind meant that we did not get to see any water being blown up through the blow-hole but we were able to get the drone out for some nice pictures of the coastline.
The last few miles of riding along what felt like a cork screw, was what got us through Ballycroy National Park as we made our way to tonights stop. A truly wonderful dinner served by the restaurant owners was the perfect ending to yet another perfect day in Ireland.
