A day for the early birds! Several rounds of sake yesterday night at dinner didn’t really make it easier to get up early this morning… Breakfast at 6:30 h in order to catch the 8:30 h ferry from Japan’s main island Honshu to Shikoku – a two hours ferry ride, which some of us used to recover a bit!
Unfortunately it started to rain, when we got off the ferry and we could not enjoy the famous mountain road 195 as much as we expected. Still – about 100 km on a twisty road through amazing Japanese scenery and with hardly any traffic is a great experience, even when you get wet! The Crown Plaza Hotel in Kyoto was definitely appreciated and the evening ended with another wonderful dinner!
