Edinburgh airport is small, bustling and as with most airports, filled with people excited about heading out to another destination, or in our case, excited to be heading in to Scotland and getting to the starting point for this adventure, the city of Edinburgh.

Scotland Motorcycle Tour, Day 1 - Arriving in Edinburgh

It is a short 15 minute drive from the airport to the city centre and to our stunning hotel from which we will be starting the tour.

Edinburgh has such a very diverse and special mix of architecture dating back to the 12th century (Edinburgh Castle) right up to the most modern of buildings from still being built today.

Add to that a variety of steeples, churches and stone houses built through various centuries and one is truly impressed by the array and variety of buildings and styles that make up Edinburgh’s skyline. It is a fun city to walk around and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of this bustling city centre.

All of the riders made the most of their time in Edinburgh by taking off and enjoying what the city has to offer by walking, bus and guided tours. A quick get together to run through the details of the tour and before we knew it we were all sitting around the table at a wonderful local restaurant enjoying our first very tasty dinner together.

An excited group that are looking forward to getting on the road tomorrow and take on the great twisty roads though picturesque farmlands heading to England!

In the meantime, a good nights sleep is needed by all!
