The “Taste of Chile and a Dash of Argentina” is a 9-Day “Discovery Tour” that starts, where the world begins to end: the sleepy city of Osorno in northern Patagonia.
The Adventure is located in the midst of some of the most stunning scenery and alluring motorcycling destinations in the world: smoking, snow covered volcanos, lush coastal rainforests, crystal clear lakes, thick forests and the seemingly endless Argentinean Pampas. Destinations include the busy Chilean lake resort of Pucón, the world famous South American resort of Bariloche, and “Butch Cassiday and the Sundance Kid” territory at Esquel. The trip includes a picturesque, relaxed ferry crossing from Chaitén to Puerto Montt before returning to Osorno.
A wide variety of roads await the riders. Mostly good, paved roads and exciting sweepers bear testimony to the area’s reputation as a motorcycling paradise. Some unavoidable but relatively easy gravel sections as well as several steep mountain roads, requiring more concentration and riding experience, add an interesting variety to the Adventure.
With the beautiful summer weather south of the equator in February, “Taste of Chile” offers a great 9-day getaway from winter in the Northern Hemisphere.

The route contains about 50% gravel roads, mostly well maintained and easy to handle. On short sections there might be softer spots, which require additional concentration. The rest of the roads are paved and in good condition and the entire trip is suitable for two-up riding. If riding two-up, consider the gravel sections when selecting a motorcycle.
