Our ride to Comodoro Rivadavia on the east coast of Argentina took us over the dry landscape of Patagonia. It resembles an area much like the Karoo in South Africa.
We saw some Gauchos , the Argentinian cowboy hardworking and excellent horsemen.
Around the lakes in Sarmiento there is still an Afrikaans community after some 600 Boer families emigrated in 1903 after the Anglo Boer war.
