Club Tours

Our Club Tours are custom tours that have been designed in cooperation with a group of riders who enjoy riding together. A Club Tour is typically sponsored by a motorcycle club or a dealership that has joined our Dealer Program. The tours feature late model BMW motorcycles, comfortable middle class hotels, all breakfasts and most dinners. While these tours have been designed in conjunction with a sponsoring partner, ALL RIDERS are welcome; they are not "Private" tours. We have some groups who book with us regularly (such as our friends from Russia) who encourage other riders to join the group. Often, riding with a like-minded group of motorcyclists from a different cultural background adds a new dimension to the motorcycling experience.

Features of our Club Tours include:

  • Comprehensive pre-trip assistance, including maps, GPS waypoints, and our trip booklet, The Plan Ahead. For many trips, The Plan Ahead has more than 100 pages of valuable information to help you plan and enjoy your trip.
  • Airport transfers. On the arrival day of the tour, we'll meet your flight and accompany you to the hotel. On the departure date, we'll accompany you to the airport for your flight home.
  • A minimum of two tour leaders - one riding a motorcycle and the other driving a comfortable support vehicle for transporting luggage and non-riding (or occasional riding) companions. For large groups, we provide additional support staff and when traveling in remote areas (Africa, South America and Canada/Alaska) we take a trailer with a spare motorcycle in case of mechanical problems.
  • Daily ride briefings. Each morning a tour leader will conduct a briefing, including a discussion of the day's ride, alternate routes, and options for a lunch stop as well as attractions along the way.
  • Flexibility. There is no requirement to ride with a tour leader. Riders may either ride with a tour leader or may travel on their own or with friends.
  • Leisurely Itineraries (Except for tours designated as Iron Butt Tours). Riders arrive at the destination hotel well before dark so there is time to relax before dinner. There is time for a leisurely lunch, comfort stops and sightseeing. (Iron Butt Tours typically entail much more distance and less frequent and shorter stops).
  • Group activities. Most trips include one or more activities that are appropriate to the character of the trip. For example, Africa trips often include a game drive in open safari vehicles or a river cruise. In New Zealand, a Maori cultural show is typically part of the itinerary.
  • Comfortable accommodations in middle class hotels which are typical to the area in which the tour takes place.
  • Delicious meals. Breakfast is always included in the tour price, and most dinners are also included. Depending on the specific tour, some lunches are included in the tour package. Non-alcoholic beverages are included with dinner.

A deposit of $400/person is required to secure a spot on a Club Tour. You will have the opportunity to make this deposit via credit card (via a secure connection to our credit card processor) when you book the tour over our web site.

Private Tours

Private groups often book one of our scheduled Premium Tours. We also develop custom tours for private groups.

For most tours, we require a minimum of 8 motorcycles to reserve the tour for a group. Otherwise booking a private or custom tour is the same as with our Premium Tours.

Deposit requirements vary to secure a spot on a Private Tour.
