The last day of any trip is always the most difficult. You need to stay focused and reach your final destination safely and also, you know you will have to say goodbye to some new friends.

We left Lake Manyara and our first big town we reached was Arusha. We took a shortcut to avoid the morning traffic and made good time to the Tanzania/ Kenya borderpost.

Unfortunately we could not see Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. The hazy view hid away this iconic gem, guess we’ll have to return soon.

The border was fairly smooth and we got through in under an hour.

After the border we had only 160 km to go. Then we hit the Nairobi traffic.

Nairobi traffic. Gotta love it.

The whole group did exceptionally well and we made it through fairly easily.

The final dinner was held and all were in agreement that this was indeed an adventure .

Celebrating the end of an amazing trip.
