After the excitement of the Gorilla trekking, we left the mountains for Kigali, the capital of Rwanda.
Rwanda is not called the little Switzerland of Africa without reason. The roads are in brilliant condition with twistys and turns that never end. Truly biker’s heaven.
We stopped along the road to enjoy the scenery but instead we enjoyed the company of the local children and mothers. We always see the women walk around with goods on their heads and decided to test the weight. At least 20 kg of sweet potatoes. These ladies are strong!
Speaking of heaven, what an amazing restaurant in Kigali, scrumptious food and the best service to compliment it.
We needed a bit of heaven after visiting the Rwanda Genocide Memorial. Just a reminder of what people can do to each other and a reminder not to let it happen again.
Tomorrow we will cross into Tanzania on our way to the Serengeti. Looking forward to seeing my favourite trees, the ancient Boababs.
